Hello Reader,
Happy New Year 2021!
I hope that you were able to refresh & recharge towards the end of the year and have a good start to the new year.
A new year brings with it the promise of new beginnings & new opportunities! We tap into the energy and optimism of our environment. We start the year with goals to achieve. We plan and we strategize. But somewhere around the end of the first week, month, or quarter, we get a reality check and we shift from "ambitious" to "realistic".
Once the exuberance of the new year settles down, we acknowledge that the most important thing that a new year promises us, is change. Constant change. And what is required before the planning & strategizing is flexibility & adaptability.
So, with that in mind, here is your bi-weekly EQrated list of resources.

Depending on your reading habits and media consumption, I'm guessing you have seen at least one such article. Spotify has even made a whole marketing campaign out of it. Since 2016, #SpotifyWrapped dissects our listening choices for the entire year. What started as a rudimentary list of our favorite songs has now evolved into a slick presentation with brightly colored graphics and multiple...
Hello Reader, Trust is a tenuous thing. Once broken it takes a long time to rebuild trust. Trust is also a very tenacious feeling. When given freely, it takes a lot to shake someone's trust. As human beings we are predisposed to trust other people. When faced with a new situation most people would like to start on a positive note - by giving the benefit of doubt. Unless you have had some trauma, or unpleasant experiences in the past, our default setting is to believe in each another. Which is...
Hello Reader, Some of my most interesting coaching sessions center around how to have difficult conversations. We are particularly sensitive to and go out of our way to avoid them. A feedback session where we felt attacked, an end-of-the-year review that gets our hackles up, or a discussion that devolves into an argument - we've all been there. Our reactions run the whole gamut - avoid, delay, justify and deny. And when we do find ourselves in the midst of an uncomfortable conversation, we...
